Analysis for front cover of 'status' magazine

Katy Perry features as the main image for the front cover of Status magazine. The camera shot used to capture Katy's instinct is a long shot. This is used to show a clear indication that her body language is trying to portray a sexual look as she is pushing her body forwards making her feminine side more visible. I particularly like this magazine as the colours are an expression of her personality, the front cover is very bright and loud showing she is not a boring character and in fact very exhilarating and entertaining. We can also tell by her costume and make-up that she is a very unique, distinctive artist as they are not your typical costumes you would see as the norms. I also like the overall layout of this magazine as all the house colours link together making it look more professional. The main cover line really tells the story of the front cover as it states “dress brighter than sunshine” this could indicate she wants to shine brighter that the sunshine and by communicating this she has used the variety of colours that show this visibly.
